Doctor stranger - Episode 5 Review

Nothing much happened in this episode except for hoon chasing around looking for jae-hee, which has been happening around since the last 4 episodes. Jae-hee at this point has become Mr india only showing herself when she wants to be seen.
But having said that i will say that it has still managed to keep interested mostly because of lee joung-suk and partly because of the mindfuckery that this show has given me.

In this episode we explored different side of Jae-joon for which i was very glad because my indifference towards him was starting to worry me. Initially i said that i can't figure out the relationship between Dr oh and jae-joon and honestly i am still confused but there were two scenes today which might that say these two together are not out of convenience and they may harbor real feellings for each other despite living a life where competition, status and having a good public persona is all that matters.

The scene where jae-joon unnecessarily ctrisizes Hoon, we can see that he was just critisizing him becasue he was extremely jealous of how close hoon and Dr oh has gotten and that's good right? Jealousy in a relationship?

and the other very important scene where see jae-joo gets very drunk at a bar and then goes to the hospital to aplogize to Dr oh for not going against the wishes of the cahirman and for not being with her when she needed him. He also admits his jealousy, Dr oh appreciates the honesty of jae-joon and they hug.

I was very glad to see a real genuine hug between both these unlike the bland kiss we got to see in the second episode and it made me re-think about their feelings towards each other.
In the next minute though we see a close up jae-joon's face, he is thinking deeply something and is looking at the Mwyong Hospital and i am just like oh jae-joon i can't seem to figure out what you are?

The character of jae-joon needs to flesh out more before i say anthing about him because in the last few episodes we have only seen jae-joon criticizing hoon and acting like he is an amazing doctor and a great personality at Mwyong hospital when in reality we haven't even seen him perform a surgery. *Oh uh

While watching the show on Viki it was very ammsuing to read all those one liners. I saw how fangirls jumped from shipping hoon and jae-hee to hoon and Dr oh and went from hating Oh to loving her and doing the same with jae-hee in an instant. LMAO

In my last review i said that i don't see hoon and Oh in a romantic relationship and i am still sticking to that point. I aslo said that hoon and Oh might end up being great friends and Oh might help him in finding jae-hee and that is exactly what happened in this episode.
Some of my favroite moments of this episode were the scenes between Oh and hoon. From helping him to finding jae-hee to the scene in the jail. I loved everything!!

There is so much warmth in their scenes which makes it look so real and i love their chemistry. Hoon was their for her during her mother's death and Oh believed him when she came to know about Jae-hee and helped him to find her.
They have formed this special bond on trust and understanding. I am hoping the writers won't spoil their relationship which is slowly building up by introducing a love traingle although i really doubt it will go that way because we have seen how hoon is head over heels in love with jae-hee.
Although we haven't seen them together in a scene after the second episode but through hoon's thoughts we have been experiencing their relationship.
The jail scene where hoon cries made me feel for him. I just wanted to give him a hug and dry his tears!

And over at viki i also got to read some crazy theories surronding the enigma that is Jae-hee. Some fans were saying that she is the doppelganger, others thought that she might have had a plastic surgery, some were like she is NK spy and others were saying that she is the twin sister of jae-hee, that really made me laugh out loud. Some were even saying that she might be brainwashed or might have lost her memory and they even want as far as saying that she is the half sister of Dr oh! *LMAO Oh  my Really??

The whole Jae-hee plot is now giving me a whiplash. I, myself am not sure what the writers have planned with this but one thing i am completely sure about is that she is not a doppleganger. What i think is that she is the real Jae-hee and there is no memory loss or anything with her. I think her real purpose of coming to south korea was to be with hoon, she might be fooling everyone right now. She might have made that north korean official believe that she is on his side and that's how she must have reached South Korea and now since she is in south korea she is playing her cards very carefully because in the past we have seen it was impossible for them to be together but now she is being very careful and doesn't want to repeat the mistakes of the past and she also wants to be with hoon as much as he wants to be with her.
I think that whole perona of seung-hee is a facade.
Am I only who can see the tortured and pained look on both their faces when they see each other for the first time?

This episode was just a wild goose chase with no major plot development. Since the last four episoded poor hoon is just trying to figure out whether jae-hee is alive or no but i wouldn't say that i wasted my 59 minutes. The episode was very enjoyable and we got to see our second leads flesh out more. Now I am excited to see the real interaction between hoon and Jae-hee/Seung-hee which i think will happen in the next episode. We might get answers to some of our questions but i don't think they are going to reveal anuthing about the Jae-hee anytime soon, the writers love keeping us on our toes.

Until tomorrow guys.
