NEWS ALERT: We bring you the lastest news regarding the epidemic which has been gripping the whole of south asia and middle east slowly and gradually The lastest report says that 70 more people have been caught by this epidemic which is known to be the kara para ask fever. People with this fever have reported sleepless nights, restlessness, inability to pay attention to anything, staying on the internet till the wee hours of morning and inability to control their feels, among many other symptoms. Doctors say that it is difficult to find a cure to the KPA fever, they say that only thing that can control it right now is that, that the patients should be allowed to stay on the internet as long they want.
And guys among those 70 people I've also got this fever and what can i say I REGRET NOTHING.
Kara para ask (Dirty money and love) is a trukish show and ITS BLOODY BRILLIANT! It has two of my favorite turkish actors as leads, Engine Akyurek, we know him from fatmagul and very hot asi star Tuba Buyukustun.
What is the show about?
Kara para ask is an unconventional love story of omer and elif. Their paths cross trough a series of unfortunate events and while lives throws them together. They find love where they least expect it.
Elif Denizer is a 31 years old successful designer working in a jewelery business. She lives in Rome, while her family, her dad Ahmet, Mother Zerrin and two sisters Asli and Nilufer live in Istanbul, Turkey.
While Omer Demir is a policeman in van. His family is in istanbul, his beautiful fiance sibel , his mother, his brother Hussain and his family.
In the first episode we see Elif returns to istanbul to celeberate her birthday with her family. At the airport she is recieved by her childhood best friend bahar and while she is here to spend time with her dad on her birthday she is completely unaware of the the surprise birthday her parents have planned for her she is completely taken by all the efforts her parents put in to make this day memorable for her.
But elif is not aware that her birthday night will be memorable for a completely different reason which she would want to forget.
On the night of her birthday after the party is over her father is mudered. He is found dead in his car and along with him there is woman and she is Omer Demir's fiance Sibel Andac.
When omer and elif and their families learn about this they are devasted.
But the BIG question is that what was Sibel, who is just a school teaher, doing in Ahmet Denizer's car?
What is a successfull business man Ahmet doing with Sibel at 2 am at night? What is their connection? All these questions haunt omer and he wants an answer to it and over there Elif is learning horrifying turths about her father. She learns that her father owes some people diamonds and she has to return them soon .Together Omer and Elif unite to hunt for diamonds and to solve this murder case.

Ten episodes have been aired so far but since the 10th is not available yet with i am going to wirte a quick review of the first 9 episodes.
In the first episode Elif's baba (turkish for dad) and omer's fiance are mudered in a mysterious manner. The case is assigned to Omer's friends Arda and pelin and his brother Hussain. Omer wants to be on the case as well but he is not allowed to work on it since he works in VAN and also because one of the victim is his fiance. But omer is determined to solve the murder and when he sees that the police department wants to close the case as soon as possible he takes the matters in his hands.
Over therer Elif and her family learns that their company has gone bankrupt and Elif comes to know that her father owes some dangerous people some diamonds. Those men are now threatening elif to search for their diamonds as soon possible and they ask her not to tell anyone about it. Elif is scared and confused and does as she is asked.
Meanwhile Elif and omer's first meeting is at the police station and they find themselves arguing over the circumstances.
I don't know what's with the writers these days giving us kisses in the first episode, Not that i mind or anyhting.
My thoughts?
I am head over heels in love with this drama. I watched all 9 episodes, each episode of two hours, in less than a week and now I am desperately waiting for the tenth one to be subbed.
I am shipping omer and elif so so hard you guys have no idea. They have such a sizzling chemistry together,
They have nothing in common and belong to a completely different world but don't they say that opposites attract.
Omer is not born in riches, he is just a policeman BUT they are by no means poor. They live comfortably he has loving and supporting family. He has the sweetest mother and his older brother Hussain is always by his side protecting him, loving him and guiding him.
He has amazing friends Arda and pelin, who will do everything to help him if/when he is in trouble.
He is hardworking, intelligent and strong.
He is dedicated to his job, when he promises elif that he will find nilufer. He fulfills his pomise. He is calm, easy going and very loving. He is everything you would want in a man. *swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon*
On the other hand elif is the middle daughter of the denizer family. She is her baba's favorite child.
She is strong independent and runs her own company. Like omer she loves her family. She is wonderful a friend and a caring daughter and a pretty amazing sister. She would do anything for her loved ones and that is the reason she becomes the target of Metin's blackmailing. She is stubbron as hell.
She is private person but when she loves, she loves fiercely and unconditionally. She carries her heart on her sleeve, She is not shy in showing her emotions to the people she loves. We see that in episode eigth when she makes the first move and kissed omer, She is not your traditional girl.
Bahar in the 6th episode describes elif perfectly
and i will quote her: "She's (elif) a very cold peron and doesn't give up easily. She is cautious but if she lets herself go, she walks on air. I read somewhere that people who work for a common goal fall in love with each other more easily and passionately.
She lives in luxury but she is not in love with luxurious places. I don't know, she goes to the market and buys a blouse and, she wears shoes and puts on some makeup. She matches everything she wears so well that you don't even think about her buying it from market. She does not complains that her hair will be ruined nor does she complains about the mud or rain she even camps and is very comfortable with it. But she always wants strong men around her who are smart and successful in their work. When Elif is in love; she starts to draw. She rides her bike and goes wherever she can go. She finds herself in a deserted place and then she starts drawing trees and birds. Women show their love like this, some play with their hair, while others turn to dance, Elif draws."
Elif at first believes that omer is not the type of guy that she would date but slowly and gradually when they work together they get to know each other.
Elif belongs to a world of money but her life is not ruled by it, omer does not belongs to a high society but he is everything elif wants in a man.
They are brought together by grief and then they work together to for their loved ones, Elif to save her sister and omer to prove sibel innocent and to find their killers.
Omer is the only one who knew about the Nilufer's kidnapping, in front of him elif was not pretending that everything was right in her world. When she was stressed omer was there to help her, When she was scared omer was there to comfort her, When she was sad he would make her laugh, Whe she broke down omer consoled her,
When she lost hope omer was there to give her hope.
When everyone learned about the kidnaping and hell broked loose in the denizer house and everyone was angry at elif for lying. Omer was the first person to ask her how she was.
Omer was there for her during her hardest time, he knew how mentally elif suffered during Nilufer's kidnapping. She carried the weight of the world on her shoulders and omer realized that.
In the same way elif did not judged omer, omer belonged to a low class but it didn't matter to elif.
Omer saw how even being born with a silver spoon in her mouth she did not had an ounce of arrogance. She came to see his brother Hussain when he got hurt, she was very humble and sweet to his friend arda and pelin. He saw how protective she was of her family.
And this is why it was not difficult for them to fall in love with each other.
Although Omer is being a dick right now and refuses to acknowledge his feelings for elif. He hurt her pretty badly when he pretended that the kiss between them never happened. I hope he will come back to his senses soon.
I fucking LOVE these two together and since romance between these two has such just started, I AM HAVING LOTS OF FEELS!!!!

In the last scene of episode one elif is outside their company Denizer holdings, in a very confused state, omer sees her like that and immediateky figures out that something is not right. He asks elif but she refuses to tell him anything, meanwhile she recieves a call from one of the kidnapper Metin who asks her about the man she's talking to, elif is too confused to come up with anything she tells Metin that omer is her lover and to convince him she kisses Omer!
YESS THEY KISS!
Omer is taken aback by this sudden gesture but elif begs him to play along since they are being watched and the first episode ends there.
Now omer is 100% convinced that eilf is in trouble and he is determined to find out the root cause of it becaue he believes that, that it will lead him to the killers but elif is too stubborn to tell him. Omer, though is not among those who back away easily.
Elif recieves phone call from metin to find the diamonds otherwise they will kill her sister but all the efforts of finding the diamonds are fruitless. Elif learns that her father was involved in illegal business of money laundering and now metin asks her to do but elif refuses to go down that path.
Omer learns that elif is looking for diamonds and later he also learns that Nilufer is kidnapped and elif is being threatened by Metin. He tells his friends Arda and pelin about the situation with elif and thet decide to help.
Metin threatens to kill Nilu if elif doesn't launder money for him. Elif is then forced to do the deed, she lies to her family about business work and goes to Rome. Omer follows her there.
There is this cute scene of them in the plane. ASDFGHJKASDFGH
In rome elif launders money for metin without the knowledge of omer, metin records the whole video of elif in the bank.
They come back from Rome without the diamonds. Omer somehow convinces elif to let him help her and elif finally lets him. Omer, Arda and pelin work together to find Nilufer.
Elif recieves phone calls from Metin now and again. Elif's family still doesn't know about the Kidnapping and the diamonds.
Meanwhile elif is searching for the diamonds we learn a lot about different characters.
We learn that elif 's bestfried Bahar is actually a selfish bitch, she is not sincere to elif and she has her own personal motives.
Elif's older sister Asli is a crazy wacko and her husband tanar is cheating on her.
Their family friend and father-fugure Tayyar uncle is actually behind Nilufer's kidnapping and also behind the money laundering business, we also learn that Sibel used to work for him and Metin is the illegal son of Tayyar.
Tayyar's mistress Pinar is having an affair with Asli's husband tanar.
By the end of episode 8 Nilufer is rescued by Omer and the whole family learns about the kidnapping and the diamonds. But elif is still being threatned by Metin to do money laudering work but this time he is using her video in the bank as a threat.
While searching for Nilufer, Elif and Omer get close and in episode nine elif realizes that she is in love with Omer. She kisses him again this time for real. Omer on the other hand is not aware of his feelings for elif. His mother and his friend arda tell him that he has fallen hard for elif but he refuses to acknowledge his feelings.
