Fated to love you ~ Episode 20 - Finale- Review

I have a big ass smile on my face, I thought I’d be crying but my heart is full of joy. At the moment it is filled with warm and fuzzy feelings. It has been such a joy watching and writing for fated to love you. Once in a while you come across a show that hits you right in the feels and fated was that show for me. It’s very, very rare to find a show and love each and every moment of it. Fated to love you became that show to me don’t know when I will actually find another show that will have this effect on me again.

Episode 20 served as a perfect epilogue to the story of Lee Gun and Kim Mi-young, I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this perfect drama. All the things that we wanted to be included were there, I am very satisfied fan right now.

The wedding was simply gorgeous. Gun and Mi-young were glowing with happiness! The faces looked so radiant. I loved, loved, and LOVED their vows Simple and heartfelt.

I, Lee Gun. I, Kim Mi Young. Take you, Kim Mi
Young, to be my wife. Take you, Lee Gun, to be my husband. I promise that I will love you
and adore you all the days of my life...until death do us part. No, even after death. I promise that I will love you forever.

I was really glad that Ssambop lady showed up actually I knew that she will show up. How can she miss the wedding of her beloved daughter and Gun whom she adores so much. Grandma Wang was overflowing with happiness too! I loved the whole wedding setup, it didn’t feel rushed it didn’t hurried. It was perfect for our snail couple.

Then there was honeymoon, it was simply beautiful. I loved the scene where they are driving to Jeju Island.

When Gun asked Mi-young to kiss her at each traffic light I wondered how PDnim and writernim come up with such unique things that make me go aww.

And then Mi-young drives the car instead of Gun, Gun gets the perfect opportunity to kiss her again and again. It was too cute. The sweetness of that whole scene was difficult for me to handle.

The scene where Mi-young and Gun are dancing by the poolside it was so beautiful and romantic.

I loved that Mi-young talked about her father. We know that she really loved her father, he was mentioned here and there in the earlier episodes but we never really saw her talk about him so it was nice to see that she was talking about her dad with Gun.

I saw many people criticizing the writers for giving us Macao 2.0 I’ll just say it’s just a show, I don’t think we should take everything so seriously. It was just shown in light humor and fun. I totally the understand the sentiments of the fans and like Gun said that it spoiled their first night together as a couple but what can you expect from Halmoni when Gun tells her that she shouldn’t expect a baby from the for the first 6 months.

The “rice cakes” scene was by the way so erotic. I mean you just can’t watch that this type of scene with your family. It was pretty obvious with what they were doing with those grunts and moans and ooh’s and aah’s and those hand gestures! OMG don’t even go there.

The hug they share in the bed before the rice cake scene was sweet...I don’t know I just loved it how tightly they hugged each I don't know I just loved it how tightly hugged each other.

When they both find out that it was Yong and secretary tak that drugged them I loved how Mi-young is calm at first but tak says something and she's like a crazy lioness ready to attack them. It was Gun who was had to calm her down, I loved how he keeps patting her on the back to calm her.

We also got to see first fight between Gun and Mi-young between a married couple. It was cute.

The scene where Gun tells the lady that Mi-young is a famous artist you can see how proud he is of her sucess. Aww We are too Gun, we are too.

There were two scenes that tugged my heartstrings. One was the one where they both are laying outside near the pool side and reminiscing about the old times. They look so happy together and so in love. They talked abput and how their farte to be with each other actually began.

Mi-young: "I think it all started
the moment you called me the goddess of fortune in Macao."

Gun: "I think we were fated to end up like this from the moment we ran together to find the ring. I thought that fate was something special, but it doesn't seem to be now. The one in front of me right now. I'm fine with everything as long as I'm with her. I can't imagine loving anyone else but her. I think that's what fate is."

Mi-young: "I'm fine, even if we aren't fated to love each other because I'd still love you like fate."

Gun: "Mi Young. If we live together one day you might have a very difficult and sad time because of me or my illness."

Mi-young:"Gun. Don't be afraid. Let's do our best to love each other and to be happy together every day and every moment of our lives."

Gun: "I'll make a vow to the star that I'll love you
every day like fate until the day all the stars are gone."

Mi-young: "I'll love you every day like fate until the day all the stars are gone."

The second scene was the one where they show them making love for real this time. While the first one was erotic, this one was tender and sweet.

I am so happy they showed a real love making scene. The way they both undress each other and then kiss and then lay down on the bed and kiss again and then Gun goes to neck and kisses her there. I wouldn't have asked for a better love making scene than the one we got. Thank you writers for fulfilling our wishes.

I am glad that everyone got their happy ever after. Yong and Ji-yeon, Daniel and SeRa, even omma and Dr octopus!! Who would have thought LOL.

Daniel and SeRa finally find each other. I teared up when SeRa calls him oppa. It was a very deserved happy ever after for them.

About Gun's health I was glad the writers showed us that he was healthy and there was no sign of the disease yet and they left it to our imagination to what happens to him in the future. I think that was the perfect way to close the Huntington's chapter, after all Gun's father was never diagnosed either so it makes sense that Gun is safe too. I would have have been disappointed if they would have showed us that Huntington's scare was a false alarm and Gun's family actually doesn't have that disease. After all what they have been through it wouldn't have made sense. I am happy they left it open-ended.

In the end we see our precious couple living happily ever after with their twins. Aww I knew they would have twins they were so many hints in the earlier episodes. Gun's wish to have blissful married life before they plan for a baby was not fulfilled LOL but he was so happy at the time. Halmoni was over the moon LOL. The way she was jumping and dancing, for a minute I got scared for her sanity.

The last scene with the twins Lee ye na and lee seok was perfect way to show us how Gun and Mi-young were blissfully happy and content with their lives and when they played Jang NaRa's Song "snail" at the background! OH MY FEELS.

3 years have passed and Gun loves her more than ever. I found it cute how he kept telling her that she shouldn't worry he has already fed them and she should just eat her own meal. For a minute I thought she might be pregnant or something that's why he's being so protective but then I realized he's Gun! He's always protective. The kids though were lost in their own world. I don't know think they were even listening to the story he was telling them LMAO

I am perfectly satisfied with the ending.I am glad they got a complete closure. I saw some people saying that the ending and the whole episode in general was overly sweet. I would just say that if it would been the other way round you still wouldn't have been happy. It would have still been
criticized. So..

Final words; Couldn't have asked for a better ending to this perfect show considering the fact that K dramas are known for its bad and abrupt endings fated to love you gave a very nice closure to the characters of Lee Gun and Kim Mi Young. . . I would like to thank MBC, the writers, producers, directors, the whole fated team and specifically Jang Hyuk and Jang NaRa for giving us a perfect Rom com. There was not a single moment of disappointment. . . I know I am going to watch this show again and again it has become my favorite Korean drama of all my time. It also introduced me to two wonderful actors Jang Hyuk and Jang NaRa. I am going miss them together on screen. Hoping to see them again together soon.
