Fated to love you ~ Episode 6 Review

Oh my God give me the next episode already!!!

This show is so good! I never thought that I would like something like this, I don't know if its the acting, story-line, the direction or the actors who are playing the characters but there's something unique and different about this show that makes me keep coming back again and again. If I would not have been watching it and If it would have been recommended to me by someone I probably wouldn't have given it a chance because the plot is obvious, like I mentioned in previous post that I've seen many shows like this and no one has really captured my heart the way fated has done. There are many things that might have not appealed to me if I would have just the read reviews before starting the show, like Gun's maniacal laugh, Mi-young's character these are the things that will probably not be really understood by anyone unless they watch the show so I probably would have skipped this one unbeknownst that this is so different and unique in its own way.

This post is dedicated to Gun because we got to see so many different shades of him in this episode. I loved him, we see how he's dealing with everything: his conflicting emotions, his confusion, anger and jealousy we got to see all that in this episode. We already know that Gun cares about mi-young but that little misunderstanding caused a rift between these two, Gun now has warmed up to mi-young in this episode. 
There was too much cuteness in this episode for me to handle. I loved that scene when gun is thinking about what Daniel said regarding helping mi-young. He gets so annoyed that Daniel offered himself to help mi-young, he says to himself "why would she need your help she has a husband." LMAO epic I love that line. 

Can we please take a moment and appreciate the cuteness of the scene when gun takes a selfie. Gaaah that was over the top cuteness. I was totally not expecting this I thought he would just caress her face, maybe remove the few strands of hair that would be on her face this is what would have happened if this was any normal show but this is fated to love you and its not any other show. 

I was pleasantly surprised when gun takes out his cell phone and takes a pic of him and sleeping mi-young. Too stinking cute omg. 

The only drawback was the hideous coat gun was wearing. Omg what's with orange coat seriously? Any other colors would have been fine but orange! Smh

 Also the part when Gun takes off the samiplast that Daniel puts on mi-young's arm and instead puts on the other one.. He then tears the samiplast and thorws it away. LMAO his jealousy was showing. He can't even tolerate the tiny samiplast that Daniel gave. 
But one thing I don't understand is how Gun not knows about Daniel. His grandmother seems to be very well acquainted with him! Writers please explain this and writers also need to understand that mi-young is pregnant and she can't run around in heels and dance or jump. 

I loved how Gun was with mi-young's mum. Don't know if it was terror of facing mummy's wrath or something else but being at that party and entertaining all the country women was a sweet action on his part. 

Unlike the prenatal classes nobody actually forced him to be here. The decision of being at the party was entirely his own and that's what I love about this show the characters don't take 180 degrees turn overnight. They are perfectly balanced. When Gun was being a Dick to mi-young he actually never did anything that would make me think that its out of character. 

Mommy mi-young is so impressed by her son-in-law that she asks him to call her mother and that he's her son now. 

Gun was very affected by this, I thought he might cry any moment. Very sweet moment between Gun and his mother in law. 

The washroom scene when gun dries her up...that was definitely an awww moment and also the when they are at the prenatal classes and Gun sews the baby's dress.

I love all these little moment between Gun and mi-young. They are cute, funny, real and natural but most of all they are not repetitive or boring. 

I am absolutely in love with JangNaRa. She's so tiny and innocent and so so wonderful in her acting. JangNaRa is one of the reason why I love mi-young's character so much. I want to hug her, kiss her, wipe away her tears and make her smile when she's sad. She's way too kind but not a stupid kind of kind. Not the one which would make me bang my head in the wall. And gun's maniac laugh doesn't seem maniac anymore. I can't help but laugh along with him.

 In the last scene when she learns that Gun has sold the island. Her sadeness and tears just break my heart.

 Mi-young: “I… truly thought that person was a good person. He could have turned me and the baby away, but he didn’t… And he did everything he could for the people in my hometown. So perhaps… perhaps… I thought he could be someone the baby needs more than myself. But now… I don’t know what kind of person he is.”

Daniel Is there though to listen to her like he always is but don't you all think that he went too far in trying to prove a point? I mean he hugged her right infront of her husband. 

If there's one thing that I would marry from this drama would be the ost. Its so so damn good! I can't help but listen to it the whole day!! 

That island matter is the thing that mi-young can not take lightly. She's very angry at Gun, we see in the precap that she's giving Gun a cold shoulder, gun on the other hand is trying to make up to her. Daniel is trying to make him jealous..oooh things are heating up. Wednesday needs to come soon. Oh and wait sera is coming back as well!! Bring on the drama.

Fated to love you ~ Episode 5 Review

Every week I desperately wait for the new episode of fated and very week till now I've never been dissapointed with what I see. This show just keeps getting better and better and I fucking pray to the K drama God that It continues to be that way. 

When I saw the precap of this episode in the last week's episode I started to have doubts but I never discussed my fears in the post of the last episode I know. I knew that now Mi-young and Gun will play house, What I thought was that we will see the typical fall in love after marriage kind of thing and I've seen lots of shows like that and I've never been perfectly happy with any of it. So with fated also I was expecting the same thing but I was pleasently surprised that while watching the episode I didn't feel that I was watching the same old "Fall in love after forced marriage" kind of story. I love the interaction between Mi-young and Gun, I loved all their scenes in-fact, It didn't looked repitetive or boring to me, which I was very sure it will. I was also hoping that we will see Gun being a real dick to Mi-young but again I was pleasently surprised that it was not the like that. In-fact he was very sweet with her as he could be to a woman he does not love. He was not mean or rude to her, he didn't insulted her or degraded her, he didn't ridicule her. If he would have done all those things It would have been so out of character because Gun has always been sweet to her helping her, taking care of her, being undersatnding and supportive towards her so this sudden dislikeness towards her would have bothered me a lot.

I loved how he asked her to take the bed but he didn't forced her when she denied so that's understandable 

And also when he finds he hiding her underneath the table - that scene was hilarious by the way - he asks her to be out of his way and they will pretend that they don't live together.

All these things he was doing to make himself tell again and again that he should hate her because he believes that she tricked him. Remember in the last episode we saw him saying that such innocent face but so much evilness and wickedness behind that so Gun here is just trying to protect himself being expoited again by Mi-young.

The only that kind of little bit annoyed me was when he brings the divorce paper I was like really?Really?

The whole purpose of you two getting married was for the baby and now you will get divorced after the baby is born! So what's the point? The baby will need his father after he is born, not now. If Mi-young would eventually has to raise her son/daughter alone then what's the point of all this drama? Its just like the writers are giving Gun the ultimatum of nine months. You have nine months to fall in love mi-young, Gun..if not then get divorced.

When Gun presents divorce papers to Mi-young, I was so angry and sad at the same. Angry because Gun thinks that this whole marriage thing is a joke instead of really trying to work this relationship he's alreadys planning a divorce, Just one day into the marriage. And over there Mi-young is so dedicated towards this marriage. Mi-young surely doesn't deserved to be treated like this and sad because the look on Mi-young's face was just heart-breaking. She had tears welled up in her eyes and she looked so sad as if someone had killed her puppy. I was happy though that she replied back to Gun and told him how she feels about this.

Mi-young: “It was the first time this many people needed me… and the first time they blessed me. And I was grateful to you. You showed up and helped me whenever I was going through hard or difficult times… I was grateful because I thought that was sincere. And I felt relieved that you were the baby’s father. So… I truly wanted to follow you and married you.”

There were many scenes where I felt that Gun looks ashamed of his actions. When he overhears the conversation between Mi-young and her mother. 

And also during the scene when granny wang explains to her that he should treat Mi-young well. That was one of my favorite scenes. I loved how granny wang gave Gun his father's example to make gun realize that he is wrong. Gun got angry and bitter when granny compares him to see his father he tells her that he is not like him; Meaning that he is not a cheater and he will never be unfaithful to mi-young. 

Yaaay for granny for brining his dad into the coversation and making Gun realize that how wrong he is being to Mi-young

Gun: “Don’t compare me to Father.”

If I had to choose my favorite character from this show other than Mi-young, then it will be chairman wang and Mi-young hands down. 

I fucking LOOOOOOOVE mama Mi-young! She's so fucking badass. When she's talking with mi-young on the phone her concern for her daughter warms my heart. I love how she asks her again and again that how she's being treated their and I loved how she said to Mi-young that she has a strong mother over here and she will break everyone's face who treats her wrongly. D'awww

Mi-young's mum: "You have no background or money, but you have your mother!"

There is another one when Mi-young enters her bedroom and we see the flashback scene of her and her mother talking.
Mi-young's mum: Put it where you can see it well, and stick together like these ducks. Live happy and well okay? If your husband and anyone else bothers you, don't hold it in and call your mom right away okay? Even if there aren't any boats leaving boats leaving this island, I will fly over there and beat them to death. 

I love the mothers and grandmothers of this show! Loved how Chairman wang fake faints to send Mi-young and Gun to attend pre-natal classes. Gun knows that she's being fake ill and she's doing all this to make him go but he still compiles with her wishes. Aww

And that scene when they attend the pre-natal class, was so so fucking hilarious!! OMFG I was laughing so hard, I thought I must just pee in my pants. 

Especially the part when the teacher asks Gun to touch Mi-youngs boobs! OH MY GOD it was so so so funny.

LMAO just epic.

Gun is so traumatized by the whole thing that he refuses to attend anymore classes LOL

I don't know what's the deal with deal with daniel. Does he thinks that Mi-young is his long lost sister or he is starting to develop romantic feelings towards her? I am going with the latter. I don't want that to happen but hey what's a K-drama without a love triangle?

The scene between him and Mi-young when she's helping him with the cafe is cute though. Also the whole recording of Gun and sera. The whole thing was so natural and real and Gun was so himself infront of sera, with mi-young he is so rigid and stiff. I can't wait for the day when he gets as comfortable with Mi-young as he was with sera and I love to see them goof around the same way.

The episode ends when Gun sees Mi-young and daniel together and Daniel comes to know that Mi-young is actually Gun's wife.

I can't wait to see tonight's episode. Love me some jealous Gun.

Fated to love you ~ Episode 4

Can they show 3 episodes in a week? Instead on just 2 because 2 are just not enough!

This episode was both sad and funny at the same time, with each scene I just fall more in love with jang Nara and her character. I totally adore Mi-young's mother as well, her sisters are fun to watch too.

The much awaited wedding happened in this episode and Mi-young looked absolutely beautiful  I loved the awkward exchange of rings and how secretary tak was recording their wedding video. I love how natural everything they protray looks.

One of the thing I loved the most was how it was a mutual decision of Gun and Mi-young to get married. I was thinking that grandmother will force them into marriage while they both will be completely against it but I was glad that Gun actually asked Mi-young to marry him.

Gun: "Do you have no intentions of marrying me at all?"
Mi-young: "You are a great person Gun, and I believe you will be a great dad to the baby. But you have someone you love. I know how much you love that person. I don't want to go through this marriage if its going to make someone unhappy. 
Gun: "I've already lost my qualitification as a man to sera and although it was our mistake, but the fact that the baby in your stomach is our child does not change. I am already the bad guy but I want to be a great dad to the baby. Of-couese sera is the only one for me right now, and I don't know much and when my heart will move towards you but I will promise you this, At least to our baby, I want to be a great dad. If you can accept this, fine lets get married."

That part just made me feel so much for both Gun and Mi-young, Obviously Gun loves Sera a lot and she's the one for him atleast for now but he accepts that it takes two to tango and he is as much responsible for this situation as Mi-young is. 

At the wedding just before they exchange the vows Gun calls Sera to tell her about the wedding but doesn't get a chance or courage. Now I wonder what will her reaction be when she learns about the wedding, Hell will break lose surely!

The scene between Mi-young, her mother and grandma Gun, where grandma says to mommy Mi-young that they don't need a dowry, they already have the best dowry right front of them. 1 point for chairman wang for saying this 

Mi-young's mother: "I felt bad because I couldn't prepare a dowry because it was so last minute."

Chairman wang: "What dowry? The best dowry has already been prepared right there."

I loved how Mi-young blushes and says yes and Grandma gun is just so sweet and caring. I love how Gun is with his grandma we saw that in epsiode 1 and now I want to see more interaction between Grandma, Gun and Mi-young. 

When all the island people put pressure on Mi-young to marry Gun, I love how her mothet stood up for her

Mi-young's mum: "What are you guys doing with my daughter? She, as you can see is not pretty nor does she has a great body. Then was she smart? No, she did poorly in school as well! She was always last in maths too. Even though she is lacking in so much, she knows when a person has a calculating mind. Even though her room is a mess because she hoards, she also can't throw away (ignore) a person's feelings. Even though she doesn't listens to her mother when I told her countless times not to be so weak, she can never decline a person's request, even if he was a stranger. But to such a kind hearted Mi-young, how dare you pressure her like this? Who are you all? Who are you all to tell her what to do? How dare you treat her like this?"  

She knows that her daughter is weak and gives in easily and can not say no to people which is why she didn't let those people for emotionally blackmailing her. Even though she also wanted Mi-young to marry Gun but she didn't want her to do it out of pressure. She wanted her to realize that marriage is the best option here. She tries to explain but she doesn't forces her opinion on her.

And another scene where mama Mi-young rocked was after the wedding when Gun and his grandma are returning back home but Mi-young is staying back at her mother's place for a few days. I fucking loved how mamma Mi-young and Gun went in the corner to talk and mommy Mi-young took Gun's hand and squeezed his hand so so hard that we could hear the cracks and says to him that if he did not care Mi-young he will be answerable to her and all gun could do was cry in pain and nod his head. 2 points for mommy mi-young! I love how strong and protective she is of her daughters. Usually it is dads job but mommy mi-young is both the dad and mummy to her daughters.

Who says korean drama parents are assholes? I am newbie to korean dramas and I haven't seen much but as much as I have seen, there hasn't been a any mum that I've hated; hear your voice, the heirs and now fated to love you and I have heard that hoon's mummy doctor stranger shows up and they have a good relationship. 

The scenes that made me super sad was the whole abortion part. Mi-young doesn't want to have an abortion but in a situation like this she thinks its the best option.

The scene between her and daniel is very sad. When she asks him to pray with her her and the little prayer she does breaks my heart for her. 

Mi-young: "Please take pity on the baby that met a very very bad mother. Please let it go to a wonderful place. I am very very sorry that I can't protect this baby. I am sorry. Amen."  

Don't know what is the deal with daniel though? I've heard that in the twainese version his characters falls for her and it seems like in this version he fall for her. Oh well there is no korean drama where a second lead doesn't falls for main lead LMAO 

I also loved how Gun does not want to let Mi-young face this abortion alone, he finds and is there for her. Until later he changes his mind about the abortion and brags into the surgical room and stops the whole procedure, that unnecessary action packed scene was necessary though. Gun simply running to save Mi-young would gave sufficed LOL and I loved how Gun helps her to get up from the operating table in a cute way, their little hug was just adorable 

My favorite dialogue from this episode was at the start of the episode when they are sleeing in the room together and we see all these flashbacks of them meeting for the first time, the sex scene etc

Mi-young: "Still, I think it is really marvelous we met 4 times and we sleep together 2 of the times"
And then we see falshbacks of their first meeting etc and the voice over says
"That connection between people is really hard to understand 
Gun: "If we met in a good situation I guess we could call a destiny."

I loved how gun took care of Mi-young, he made her comfortable on the blankets, gave his jacket to use a comforter and insisted on going to the hospital with her and on the other hand I also loved how Mi-young asked Gun to be careful again and again when he was looking for a way to escape from the room.

In the ending scene Mr choi and his friend give Gun a sexual stimulant as a wedding present and we see that now Gun thinks it was a whole plan, the sex and the the pregnancy to trick him into getting married to Mi-young. He also thinks that mi-young was also involved in all this. 

In the preview we saw mi-young has arrived at Gun's place only chairman is happy to see her. Gun thinks that she manipulated him and gun's illegal brother and his mother are not happy to see her nd they might cause some troubles for her in the house.
I am excited to see what next episodes are going to bring. I high hopes on this show I hope it maintains its charm and remains consistent in being its gorgeous self
